Accountants and tax specialists can now get their hands on a major new book that aims to be the clearest and best single-volume guide to CGT in the UK.
Capital Gains Tax 2021-22, published by Claritax Books, is the latest release in the publisher’s General Tax Annuals series.
The book features expert commentary from specialist authors – including our very own Stephanie Churchill (Churchill Taxation’s co-owner and managing director).
Written for accountants, tax advisers and in-house tax departments, the 476-page manual is arranged across four major sections, with 18 chapters.
Capital Gains Tax 2021-22 covers all the basics but also goes into greater detail. It addresses the difficult areas practitioners come across in their day-to-day work, including main residence relief, business asset disposal relief, partnerships, deceased estates, and much more.
The book follows the same approach to clarity and ease of use that readers of Claritax Books’ specialist titles are already familiar with. Plus, the logical table of contents, as well as comprehensive indexing, make it easy for accountants and tax professionals to find the information they need.
As well as Stephanie, the book’s other specialist authors are Andrew Rainford and Lucy Webb.
Stephanie said: “I was delighted to play a key role in such a useful and indispensable publication, which I’d describe as a ‘capital gains tax bible’. Given the complexities of the CGT regime, it’s crucial there are user-friendly manuals out there for people working in the tax sector. I contributed to a range of tax areas in the book, including non-resident tax, trusts, estates and incorporation relief.”
